Fighting for Justice (1932)

Under the mistaken impression that a buggy is a runaway, newcomer Tim Keane rescues the local beauty, Amy Tracey, who is simply in a hurry to get to town. After releasing her horses, Keane rides into town to file a claim at the land office. At the tax office, Tim examines the records on his father Jim’s Bar A ranch, which was sold to Sam Tracey when Jim’s attorney, Trout, pocketed the property’s tax payments. Later, Trout has the tax records falsified to turn Tim against Sam. Amy then warns Tim and his friends that they are about to be attacked by Bull Barnard’s Drury River gang. Tim and his men repel the attack and Tim returns to the tax office to find the records changed to show that the property taxes were paid. During a town dance, the tax office is burned down and Tim sees Trout with Barnard. The next day, Sam plans to tell Tim that his claim to the property is justified. But before Sam can tell Tim, Tim is arrested for the murder of a man named Cooky. Trout then locks up the sheriff to ensure that Tim hangs. But Amy gathers Tim’s men and a brawl between Tim, who has escaped jail, and his men and Trout’s gang ensues. The truth is finally told, and the sheriff arrests Trout and his gang. Tim and Amy are reunited and Tim’s friend, Colorado, makes plans to work on the ranch. More on Wikipedia
