A young designer is engaged to a pattern maker from a large tailor’s shop. To obtain the vacant position of general manager of the house, for which his girlfriend does not consider him suitable, the young man disguises himself and puts on make-up in order to take on an appearance of greater importance. Having obtained the job, he facilitates his girlfriend’s career and also manages to improve the company’s business. The owner of which, old Ganymede, is an easy prey to the fraudulent plots of an adventuress and her accomplices. The new director, even at the risk of having to commit a fake, saves the good man from a total disaster. At this point he considers his disguise useless and reveals himself to his boss and his girlfriend. He becomes a partner in the company and will marry the girl. More on Wikipedia
