Because Upton College has failed to defeat the Parsons football team for twelve years, the trustees of Upton insist that President Sheffield must resign if Upton does not beat Parsons in the coming season. Overhearing this threat, Nan, the president’s daughter, and Speed Hanson, football star, develop a plan: Nan changes her studious appearance and with her ravishing charms recruits a choice football team for Upton; but the coach wants Tommy Nelson, the spoiled son of a wealthy father, whom Sheffield will not admit because of his poor credentials. Tommy registers under an assumed name and discovers Nan’s plot; he informs the team of her methods, and they scheme to get even by pretending drunkenness before the game. After sufficient punishment, she is forgiven and they win the game for her; and Tommy, forgiven by his father, wins the love of Nan. More on Wikipedia or Mubi
