An author, unhappily married to a woman who runs around with other men, attends a party thrown by his poor brother, an artist. The author is attracted to his brother’s model, whom his brother loves. The author refrains from telling the model he is married, and they both fall in love. Eventually, the author’s wife tells the model of her marriage, goes to Paris with another man and obtains a divorce, leaving her husband free to pursue his romance with the model. More on Wikipedia
