Bob Terry is the sheriff of Red River, and he suspects that saloon owner Flash Halloway is behind a series of hold-ups that have plagued his town. He has, however, never been able to get enough evidence to prove his suspicions. After an especially bold robbery, Bob manages to capture one of the outlaws. Unfortunately, Bob is forced to shoot the outlaw, who dies before the sheriff can learn the name of his boss. The dead outlaw’s sister, Mary, arrives in town in the hope of making a home for herself and her brother, but she has no knowledge of her brother’s lifestyle. Bob immediately falls in love with Mary, so he does not inform her of her brother’s true past. Bob is too shy to tell Mary his feelings towards her until he sees her flirting with Flash. Another hold-up occurs, and Bob finds a handkerchief that Mary gave Flash at the crime scene. Flash proclaims his innocence, then tells Mary that Bob killed her brother. Mary immediately turns away from Bob, and agrees to marry Flash. Tiana, Flash’s mistress, learns of the planned marriage, and tells Bob that Flash is about to rob a cargo of gold bullion. Bob forms a posse, and they capture Flash and his gang. Mary is then told the truth about her brother, and she forgives Bob. More on Wikipedia
