Joyce and Cliffe Wheater, a much-divorced American couple, leave their seven children to fend for themselves as they tour the smart resorts of Europe, leaving Judith, the eldest, in charge of the group. Martin Boyne, an American tourist, encounters Judith and the children, whose father he knew in the U.S. He is attracted to Judith and is quick to sympathize with the problems of the siblings. Although Martin is to meet his fiancée, Rose Sellers, in Switzerland, he delays the trip to help the children through a crisis that threatens to separate them. After Martin leaves, Judith despairs, fearing that he regards her as only a child. When the group follows Martin to Switzerland, he realizes that he loves Judith. Later, Cliffe regrets his neglect and asks Martin to reunite him with his family. Martin declares that he is marrying Judith and will care for the children himself. More on Wikipedia
