Actress Edna Druce is found dead, and fellow thespian Diana Baring can’t explain why she’s holding the murder weapon. Diana seems destined for conviction, but juror Sir John Menier thinks she’s innocent. His efforts to collect clues in order to clear Diana, however, might finger another performer.
