Following a narrow escape from a trap set by the sheriff, the Apache Kid (who poses as Jim, a cowhand) takes on the romantic problems of Ted Conway. Informed by King Conway that Ted is not really his son but rather an orphan picked up on the plains after an Indian attack, Wilson rejects Ted’s request to marry his daughter, Jane, and accepts King’s offer to destroy Wilson’s note and pay him a large sum of money in return for Jane’s hand. When Ted is jailed for robbing a stage, the Apache Kid returns the money to the bank and obtains the notes from Conway. Ted is released; the Apache Kid throws the sheriff off his trail, says goodby to his gal, and moves on. More on Wikipedia
